I'm obsessing over DVF these days!!! I'm in the middle of revamping my wardrobe and DVF is essential.  Bold, vibrant and energetic colors, however not harmful to the eye. Adventurous color blocking keeps the designs interesting and refreshing.  Super cool attitude for an effortless style.

Diggin the threads for Fall 2011

Welcome leopard print, polka dots, paisley, tweed, bell bottom pants, the 1960's are killer for fall/winter 2011! Much of this style inspired by tv shows "Mad Men" and "Pan Am".  Banana Republic created a 65 piece collection entitled "Mad Men" as an homage to the decade.   The collection consist of perfect suiting and dresses.  Not entirely period correct, but it has a nice touch of modern aesthetic.

Burberry Prorsum, Carolina Herrera, and Alberta Ferretti presented a 60s inspired line for their F/W11 RTW collection.

Zooey Deschanel

I love Zooey Deschanel's quirky style!  Feminine, flirty, playful and I totally dig the 60's motif.  In my opinion she is an up and coming style icon.  Zooey has a new tv show called 'New girl' on Fox and is a singer, musician and song writer in the band 'She & Him', which I adore!  "She & Him make music for an eternal springtime, when the temperature is warm enough to go riding with the top (or at least the windows) rolled down and the radio turned up. They occupy an alternate universe where the saddest of songs feel as warm as sun showers; the rain may be coming down, but somewhere nearby, everything looks bright."
